Comprehensive Hydraulic Training (CHT)

 

Duration-14 weeks

 

Offered in Dartmouth, NS and Seal Cove, Nfld, this unique program is fourteen weeks in duration. The candidates will receive classroom instruction and "hands on" training which will allow them to directly apply the skills acquired during the course, to solve problems and tasks specific to Hydraulics.

 

This will result in a graduate who will be capable of installing hydraulic components and systems, as well as testing, diagnosing performance effectiveness and implementing corrective measures to components and systems.

 

The following will be taught during the fourteen weeks of training:

 

·        Hydraulic symbology and circuit schematics

 

·       The physics of fluid power as related to hydraulic component and system functions

 

·        Appropriate National and International standards

 

·       The significance of cleanliness practices and standards

 

·       The principals governing the function of various hydraulic components and their relationship within a system

 

·       The functioning and application of field test and measuring equipment and the ability to interpret results for troubleshooting purposes

 

·          To size, fabricate and fit hydraulic fluid conductors
